Our fire place. Made with an interesting program, called night portrait. First the flash is triggered to catch the foreground. After that the shutter is kept open for some additional time to catch the rest of the picture. If you try to take a picture of this with a "normal" flash based program, the will be virtually no flames visible. On the other hand, if you take a lon exposure, you will get nice flames, but the rest of the picture is quite dark. (2,17 MB)
